If you’re new to competitive clay shooting but not quite ready to dive into official NSCA classification, the Hunter Class is the perfect place to start.
Hunter Class is designed for recreational shooters who want to enjoy the excitement of tournament play without the pressure of maintaining a registered NSCA membership or accumulating scores toward classification. It’s open to anyone — from weekend shooters to avid hunters — looking to experience the thrill of competition in a more relaxed and social environment.
Hunter Class participants shoot the same challenging targets as registered shooters, but their scores don’t count toward official rankings or “punches.” It’s a great way to learn the rhythm of tournament shooting, understand how scoring works, and gain confidence before stepping into the registered ranks.
At Amelia Shotgun Sports, we welcome Hunter Class shooters at many of our NSCA events. It’s a fantastic opportunity to shoot alongside experienced competitors, enjoy camaraderie, and experience the same world-class targets — all without the commitment of formal registration.
💥 Whether you’re testing your skills, bonding with friends, or simply looking for an unforgettable outdoor experience, the Hunter Class gives you the freedom to shoot, learn, and have fun!
